The history of the name, Kano and gHon-Kano-Masamuneh    
  Hon-Kano-Masamune is one of the superior sake in our items.

The sakefs naming is from our presidentfs family name, Kano.

Hon stands for head family and Masamune mens genuine one.

On 1332, Emperor Godaigo visited Mikage district in Kobe and then one of the ancestor of sake brewery made sake using special water from a spring called Sawanoi-spring and presented it to the emperor. He accepted it with pleasure and praise. Thus, the ancestor was given the family name of Kano which literally means gaccepting with pleasureh.
